What is a radar detector?

A Radar Detector is a device used by the common motorist to detect if
their speed is being monitored by a radar unit. Lets not act stupid here,
we know that “unit” would be the police.

In short, Radar Detectors will help alert you if police are near. Using
a superheterodyne receiver, these Radar Detectors can detect electromagnetic
wave emmisions from a police radar gun. The Radar Detector will then raise
an alarm, letting YOU, know police are near.

How have they evolved?

for future use, and alert you if the area is hot.
